Hello friends and family!
First week in the MTC has been pretty good. My companions is sister Thompson and she is amazing! She is from Ogden Utah and is a sweetheart. We get along really well and make up for what each other lacks. My district is one for the books. They are absolutely amazing, I feel really blessed. We have very caring elders who would do anything for the sisters. No joke, it was personal time and I was saying a prayer and I was crying because I was praying for my family (horrible idea, you can't do it without crying) and a HUGE group of elders were screaming and talking really loud. I turned around with tears and my eyes and Elder Christensen saw me and took off after the Elders and RIPPED them one. It was so funny and it was amazing. Really truly amazing how much we all love and support each other. Me and sister Thompson are our districts online coordinator. Basically we boss people around telling them to do their online MTC homework. It's fun.
Something that was really cool this week happened Thursday. I was really feeling down because I didn't know anyone. I prayed really hard to see a familiar face. About 20 minutes after that I ran into Elder Hafen! We were able to talk and sit together at lunch. It was very fun to hear his stories and how he has been since last month. We were able to take a picture at the map. Really truly a blessing. Ever since then I have seen someone new every day.
It's amazing to me the amount of blessings missionaries have! God is real!
Haha funny story time. Last night around 9:40 I was taking a shower. Sister Thompson was talking with her friend in our room, and I was in the bathroom. No joke, just as I turned the water off..... The fire alarm goes off. Not knowing what to do I got dressed as fast as I could and ran out side in wet pj's, with sopping wet hair, no shoes, and with no companion. Luckily we were able to find each other quickly outside. The alarms continued to go off for about 30 minutes it was pretty terrifying and I'm 98% sure I have PTSD. All is well though, minus the fact that we were in bed at 11:30. Hopefully God understands.
I hope all is well at home. I sure do miss everyone. I hope everyone has a great week and I hope you remember how much heavenly father loves you. Until next week!
Lots of love,
Sister Gray
