Christmas in July - Take One - July16, 2018

***Mom's Note,  this is the email Sister Gray sent to a bunch of people that should have been sent just to me.  I'm sharing it because I thought it was darling, and I am so excited she is having such a great time with Sister Keller.

What is love? Love is such an interesting thing. I'm not talking romantic love. That is quite icky. Love is an expression or act that you are willing to do for the benefit of others. This kind of love often requires sacrifice. As I have said many a time.... sacrifice brings forth the blessings of Heaven. Mom, you know that I do not particularly enjoy holidays. They seem like a waste of time.

I especially despise when holidays are "over celebrated" such as Christmas! Don't get me wrong, I do like Christmas but, I do not think that we need to start celebrating Christmas before December. Yet, love is an important factor in a good companionship. So what do you do? You listen to nothing but Christmas music with your amazing companion cause you love her a whole ton.

You asked me a few weeks ago how things are going with sister K and they are going great. I freaking love her with all of my hair (did you know I am balding) lol, stress is my best friend). But yeah things are great with my cute comp.

We have a lot of good times. And we are effective missionaries and that makes the world go round. I just thought you would like to know that it's freaking July and I'm listening to Hark the Harold Angels Sing because you taught me to be a good person.

In fact, I thought it would be fun to share with you a few things we have done. Usually on P-days or at night.

We waxed our arms (yes, we totally did and I felt like a baby dolphin afterwards)
We have eaten approximately a gallon of ice cream a week
We are piercing sister Keller's ears
We are best friends with the Elders in our zone (in a missionary way, not a flirty way) which is way good because before I swear to you they were statues. Now they are semi-life filled beings that will bring cookies to district meeting.
We formed a volleyball team within our ward
We ate nasty food
We have become best friends
We play crowns at 3 in the morning when the dog that lives in the apartment upstairs won't stop barking (we still get up on time though, no disobedience here).
We have a game that includes hiding a stuffed hedgehog within our apartment in hopes to scare the other person (his names is Dr. hodge)
We bake bread for various people within the ward weekly
I have learned 3 new hymns, be still my soul, come follow me, Jesus savior pilot me.
We have each thrown at least 2 spiders on each other
Best. Moment. Ever.
I have had food poisoning twice due to spoiled milk (I need to read labels haha)
We have helped Decatur gain trust in its missionaries.

So yeah! That's a broken down version of this transfer. It has been great.

LOVE YA! ! !
